Our Mission

To create sustainable change in Liberian communities by empowering women, protecting children, and building resilient societies through education, advocacy, and community development.

Our Vision

A Liberia where every woman and child has equal opportunities to thrive, where communities are empowered to create their own solutions, and where sustainable development transforms lives.

Our Values

Guided by compassion, integrity, and innovation, we believe in the power of community collaboration and the potential of every individual to create positive change.

Our Story

Born from a Vision of Change

Our journey began with a simple belief: that sustainable change happens when communities are empowered to lead their own transformation. Through partnerships, innovation, and unwavering commitment, we’ve developed programs that address root causes rather than just symptoms.

Today, AWOCHI stands as a beacon of hope, demonstrating that when women are empowered and children are protected, entire communities flourish. Our work continues to evolve, but our core mission remains unchanged: creating lasting positive impact in the lives of those who need it most.

AWOCHI was founded in 2012 by a group of passionate advocates who witnessed the challenges facing women and children in rural Liberian communities. What started as a small grassroots initiative has grown into a comprehensive organization serving 45 communities across the country.
